Booking your next visit to a theme park is never easy. You have to buy tickets for the entire family, arrange accommodation and find transportation. My kids told me they wanted to see Disney World during the summer and I began researching my options.
But finding tickets to this top-rated Florida destination was never easy, to begin with. Even accommodation prices are higher during the summer. On Undercover Tourist, I was able to make all bookings. I’m not sure they were the cheapest, but finding tickets and themed accommodation in the same place is practical.
I like the discount system on the website. The park shows you how much you save if you spend a few more days in the area. The 3-day ticket was too short for us to travel out of state. As a result, I booked the 9-day Disney Theme Park tickets for the entire family. A few friends might also join us on the adventure.
There’s a total of 4 parks for us to visit. On the days we feel a bit more active, we’re also going to visit the 2 waterparks of the complex. The hotel I chose for us was on the cheap side since I wanted a larger budget for the family while at the parks.
Undercover Tourist Features
Magic Kingdom Park Tickets
The Magic Kingdom in Orlando might just be the most popular theme park in the world. It draws in hundreds of thousands of tourists every year. For our family, that means we need to be properly organized all the time.
My plan is to have a basic structure with the attractions. My kids can barely wait to see Cinderella Castle. I know that my tickets have the admission times printed on them. I want to be among the first to get in line with the castle.
Since there’s a lot of people going straight for the castle, I’ll need to be there first thing in the morning. E-tickets allow my family to go straight to the entry gates of the park. I’m planning to take plenty of pictures in front of the park and I need to have some room without endless tourists for memorable photos.
Peter Pan’s Flight is another popular attraction in this theme park. But even here, we’ll all have to be on schedule. Today, the average time spent in line is 80 minutes. This would easily double during the summertime season.
However, there are plenty of sights to see on this adventure. I’ve watched all the Peter Pan cartoons and movies with my kids. They are fascinated by the flying boy and I’ll need to ensure we’re among the first few in the line early in the morning.
Epcot Tickets
In Epcot, there are a few educational activities I want my kids to take part in. However, this area of the park is also where my kids get to see the Frozen princess.
Movies, cartoons, and plays make this Frozen fairytale come to life. I like that the website lists the average waiting time for this attraction also.
Early in the morning, there’s not to many people in line. It’s between 10 AM and 11 AM that most people get in line. Later in the afternoon, the line is shorter as well. Our plan is to visit the Frozen area of the park after 4 PM. The lines aren’t as long and we would have already visited Cinderella’s castle.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
If your kids are a fan of Disney’s Hollywood creations, they need to see the park where the movies come to life. My children are particularly interested in the Mickey and Minnie Runaway Railway. It’s here that they’ll be able to ride the train themselves.
The average waiting time is 75 minutes at this attraction. On the third or 4th day, I’m planning for us to be there at 8 AM when the average waiting time is around 30 minutes. This is one of the attractions where lines of people don’t really start to shorten until later in the day, just before closing time. I think it’s the popularity of the Disney movies which makes it so attractive.
Disney’s the Animal Kingdom
One of the areas of the park with reduced crowds is the Animal Kingdom. In here, there’s a particular attraction I want my kids to check out. It’s the Everest Adventure. The train rides through the mountains and I think my kids are going to love it.
The entire train journey comes with changing landscapes and I’m sure they won’t get bored. On the other hand, I’m thinking of purchasing Fast Pass tickets on this destination as my kids are already going to be inpatient from all the standing in line. Fast Pass tickets may be available on your selected attractions.
E-Tickets
There’s no point in worrying about printed tickets with most attractions. My tickets were sent to me at my e-mail address.
With normal orders, it can take up to 24 hours for the tickets to be delivered electronically. I was a bit worried about the tickets not arriving in a couple of hours and I called customer support.
But they explained everything was fine in their systems and it might have just been a busy server issue. After a few hours, I was glad to find my tickets in my inbox. With your tickets on the smartphone, you can stand in line without having to go to a designated area for e-ticket holders.
Refunds and Cancelation
You also need to know that e-tickets are not refundable. Once you pay for these tickets, you won’t be able to get them reimbursed in case you change your mind about going to the theme parks.
If you want this safety net, you’ll need to purchase printed tickets. These tickets have a 90-day return policy. However, you will not get 100% of their price back. 5% is going to be charged for processing fees and you’ll only get 95% back if your cancel your ticket purchase within 90 days.

Final Verdict
Visiting a Disney park with my kids is a dream of mine. It can take years for us to return to such a family trip together. I’m also aware that it might be the only full 9 days I spend with my kids and family during the following summer.
As a result, I want to ensure our family is going to have a great time. This is why I purchased the e-tickets even if they’re not refundable. We’ve all decided we’re going.
But I want to purchase Fast Pass tickets for at least a couple of attractions. I’ll need to call the website to make this booking for my family. Every day, I look at the waiting period of these attractions and the time spent in line is only increasing as we’re approaching the summer season.
