I like watching TV as much as the next person. But the thing is, I was getting very tired of having to pay so much for cable. Not to mention, it all came as part of a package deal through my provider. But let’s face it, I’m looking to save money. And the only thing I’d be willing to give up at this point is the cable part of my service package. All I will have left is my Internet, which I obviously need for most things (including streaming live TV).
With that in mind, it was time to search for a streaming service that would give me plenty of channels at a price that was a mere fraction of what I pay every month for cable. But with so many options to choose from, it’s hard to tell which one will give me a better deal.
That’s when my neighbor told me about Philo. He said that he gets as many channels as he wants for a low price.
I’ve heard so much about these streaming services that are aimed to replace cable. The problem was before finding Philo was which one would give me the channels I want. Some streaming services had them and others didn’t. But now that I have Philo, I couldn’t be happier.
59 Channels For A Reasonable Price
Here’s the thing about my cable plan. I had about over 100 channels (maybe even more). But I never watch most of them anyway. So what was the point in having so many channels when I knew I simply wasn’t going to watch them? So I was able to cut the cable part out of my package and opt for 59 channels using Philo.
And how much did that cost me? $20. Yes, $20. I pay ten percent of what I was paying every month to the cable company. And that included the Internet and phone that was used in the package itself. Oh and since I do use a smartphone as my primary phone, I had to cut the phone out of the deal as well. All in the name of saving money.
Stream Live Or On-Demand
In today’s world, you don’t have to worry about missing your favorite television shows. Because you can watch episodes anytime, anywhere. Of course, I can watch them live when I want to. Gone are the days where I had to rush home and watch my favorite TV show and worry about missing it.
Plus, if I missed a few episodes because of my busy schedule, I can always block off a day where I can play catch up. I can watch the entire season, half a season...it doesn’t really matter to me. I can watch it whenever, wherever on any device. When I travel, I can just watch it on my tablet or smartphone. Talk about the power of flexibility.
If you have a family that has their favorite TV shows all on at the same time, you don’t have to worry about who gets the TV anymore. No more battles for the remote control, no nothing. That’s because you can stream it on up to three different devices. So my wife can watch her show in the bedroom and my son can watch TV in his.
And I can have the big screen in the living room all to myself. Plus, one Philo account will allow up to ten separate profiles. That way, I have my favorites list and so does my wife and son. Philo makes it easy and helps me find a TV show that I might like based on my preferences. It’s as if it was reading my mind all this time.
A 7-Day Trial...Absolutely Free
I know that a lot of people don’t want to jump into anything just yet. And that’s fine. Philo offers a 7-day free trial for anyone who wants to give it a spin. And that’s exactly what I did. After the trial is up, you have the option of signing up for the month.
Did I mention it is ridiculously low in price? For the price of $20 a month, you’ll be paying so much less than what you are probably doing right now. If I were you, I’d be reconsidering what I’m spending my money on as far as cable TV is concerned.
All you need is WiFi
How does this all work? Well, you do need an Internet connection in order to live stream or watch your shows on demand. And best of all, it will work on any WiFi compatible device. Thus one good thing why it’s always a great idea to cut the cord and go wireless.
Cancel Or Restart Anytime
One of the things about cable TV is that they’ll hit you with fees when you cancel and when you want to sign back up again after a period of time. But with Philo, there are no sneaky or additional fees when you cancel or when you decide to restart again. You can cancel or start again at any time whenever you feel like it. No shady tactics, no nothing.
Streaming Device Support
Philo supports all kinds of devices. These include your Android and iOS phones. You can also download the Philo app on devices such as your Apple TV, Roku, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, and more. Alternatively, you can watch it on your favorite web browser if you are watching it on a laptop or desktop computer. You have plenty of devices to use at your disposal.
If you want a streaming service that gives you all your favorite channels at a price that is crazily affordable, then Philo might be exactly what you are looking for. I never regret canceling my cable service at all. Especially when it was costing me well over hundreds of dollars a month. I’ll stick to paying them just for the Internet service. Don’t let your wallet take one more hit from the cable company. Get Philo and you will not be disappointed.
