As a small business, I can be able to do payroll so all of my employees are paid based on their hours and rates. I can be able to do payroll on either the computer or a mobile device. Talk about easy. I can just do payroll in my office or wherever I am.

One of the other tasks that I do is human resources. I don’t have an HR team of my own given how small my business is. So I have the final say of who gets hired and who doesn’t. Just because my business is small, doesn’t mean the hiring process is easy. I get a handful of applications regularly and I need to take some time to look them over. And of course, that’s not all that human resources can handle. They also handle all things regarding insurance benefits, retirement, and so much more.

As for the employee screening process, this makes things a lot easier for me. That’s because I have prospective employees who apply online with the pertinent information. Back then, I relied on paper applications and some of my potential job applicants have some handwriting that makes it hard to read. Mind you, I don’t disqualify them from employment for that purpose.

Another important thing is making sure that my business and my employees are covered. And guess what? Paychex will offer me all kinds of ways to provide and manage insurance for not just myself and my employees, but also the business itself. If anything, we live in a world where if things can go wrong, they will eventually.
So I want to be protected and ready for anything. Plus, I can be able to manage all of my employees’ insurance policies all from my dashboard. And if there have been any updates to their policies, I can be able to quickly update them and that’s that. No complicated tasks at all.
What insurance policies do they offer, you ask? They offer me insurance like cyber liability insurance. These days, hackers will stop at nothing to steal vital information even from small businesses like mine. Why they do it is beyond me? But what I can tell you is that I plan on covering all of my bases to ensure that no hacker busts into my business computers.
